When my boyfriend finished his PhD program and graduated in May of 2019, we decided to celebrate his 6+ years of hard work and accomplishments in the most exciting way we could possibly imagine: jetting off on an adventure together to parts unknown. We were stretched extremely thin – I was deep in the thick of studying for my upcoming July sitting of the LSAT, we were committed to two week-long family trips and we were strategizing, planning and packing for our forthcoming cross-country road trip move to California.
